his sculpture was inspired by the spherical pom pom dahlias in my garden.  It is made of lots of tiny hand sculpted pieces of porcelain paper clay mounted on a thrown porcelain base.  The edges of the petals are glazed edged in copper oxide giving a deep matt green finish.
 
This sculpture is approximately 24cm in diameter and 5cm in depth.
