These sculptures are inspired by foxgloves.  They are made of many individually formed and impressed sections of paperclay.  The edges are painted with copper oxide which gives a deep green tinge after firing.
 
The clay sections are mounted onto a metal rod which is pushed directly into the ground.  
 
These three pieces are approximately 75cm in height and the flower head is 24cm tall and 15.5cm in diameter
